Singer/guitarist Bob Hanni, a native of Montreal who has been living in South Florida for the past 35 years, has been a much sought-after performer in clubs, hotels and other venues in his adopted place of residence.
Hanni's varied career encompasses a variety of musical experiences from television appearances to club dates and even ocean cruises. In the '70s he performed regularly on a weekly television show for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation while touring extensively through Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
Since arriving in South Florida he has appeared at the Galt Ocean Mile Hotel, the Riverside Hotel, the prestigious Tower Club and, for five years, at Sheffield's Harbor Beach Marriott. He has also performed on many of the leading cruise ship lines around the world.
Over the years, Hanni has acquired a well-deserved reputation for pleasing audiences with his personalized interpretations of the popular repertoire. His singing has been compared favorably to Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Joe Williams, among others.
The Montreal Jazz Festival is one of the longest running (22 years) and most prestigious jazz festivals in the world. People flock form all corners of the planet to partake in the scintillating performances presented. Bob. in the summer of 2001, had the the distinct pleasure of performing at the Montreal Jazz Festival with saxophonist, Eric Allison and Canadian diva, Cheryl Fisher. Enthusiastic throngs of jazz fans responded with rave reviews!
Hanni played guitar and sang with the great Duffy Jackson quartet 2003 on The Jazz cruise and was invited to perform again 2004 with Duffy's big band.
Whether performing as a solo artist, playing in a trio or any other musical setting, Hanni is rated by fellow musicians as among the finest guitarists playing today.
